Blackfoot River Day Trip
$350/ person (3 person minimum charge; 8 person maximum)
The Blackfoot River is where everything that defines Meander comes together—clear, moving water, wild country, and the kind of quiet moments you can’t plan for. This isn’t about rushing downstream. It’s about settling into the rhythm of the river and paying attention to what unfolds along the way.
We’ll float through ponderosa pine-lined banks, open valleys, and deep geological time, watching for eagles overhead, osprey diving, and the subtle signs of life that most people drift past. There’s time to pull over, explore, and let curiosity lead—whether that’s turning over stones, talking about river ecology, or simply sitting still and taking it all in.
Led by wildlife biologists and river professionals, these trips blend thoughtful guiding with genuine experience. You’ll leave with more than a great day on the water—you’ll leave understanding the river, noticing more, and feeling like you were part of it, not just passing through.
Opportunities to stop, explore, and learn along the way
Led by wildlife biologists and experienced river guides
Ideal for: first-time rafters, nature-focused travelers, and those looking for a deeper experience
Full-day experience (6–8 hours on the water)
Small group, private trips
Wildlife-focused, relaxed pace
Blackfoot River Multi-day Trips
$450/ person/ day (4 person minimum charge; 8 people maximum)
Trips are available for 2, 3, and 4 day excursions; please reserve your trip at least 60 days in advance to secure a camping permit
The real magic of the Blackfoot doesn’t reveal itself in a few hours—it unfolds over time. Our multi-day trips are designed to slow everything down, giving you the space to settle into the rhythm of the river and experience it more fully. With extra time, we’re not just passing through—we’re exploring.
We’ll float quiet stretches of river, pull over when something catches our attention, and spend unhurried time walking side channels, watching wildlife, or simply being present in a place that feels far removed from everything else. Our signature multi-day trips allow more room for curiosity to lead, more time to notice, to learn, and to connect with the landscape in a way that day trips rarely allow.
Evenings are just as much a part of the experience. After a full day on the water, we settle into camp for thoughtfully prepared, home-cooked meals—original dinners, shared under big skies, and vast stars, while winding down at the river’s edge. In the mornings we wake with the wildlife and take advantage of the serene, cool, and sublime Montana dawn. With the smells of homemade breakfast and warm drinks filling the air, we prepare for the day while taking in the best of what the wild country has to offer.
Guided by wildlife biologists and river professionals, these trips offer a deeper, more immersive way to experience the Blackfoot. You’ll leave not just with great memories, but with a real sense of the river—how it moves, what lives along it, and what it feels like to be part of it for a while.

Upper Missouri River Breaks Expeditions
$395/ person/ day (6 person minimum charge; maximum 8 people)
The Missouri Breaks are one of the last truly remote river corridors in the American West.
Towering sandstone cliffs, massive cottonwood bottoms, hidden side canyons, prairie wildlife, dark night skies, and deep human history define this landscape. Traveling by canoe allows us to move quietly and intentionally through the monument while slowing down enough to fully experience it.
Our expeditions are designed for guests seeking more than a standard float trip. These journeys combine wilderness travel, ecology, geology, birding, conservation interpretation, and comfortable riverside camping into an immersive small-group experience.
Every trip is led by two professional guides and kept intentionally small to maintain flexibility, safety, and a personal atmosphere.
Trips are available as 4, 5, and 7 day expeditions.
4-Day Expedition
Our signature Missouri Breaks experience balancing river miles, exploration time, side canyon hiking, wildlife observation, and relaxed camp life.

Some of the best days don’t follow a set itinerary, they take shape as you go. Our day explorations are built around that idea. Whether you’re drawn to birds, geology, quiet trails, or simply being outside, we design each day around what genuinely interests you.
We might spend the morning tracking migrating raptors along a ridgeline, wander slowly through a stretch of river looking for agates, or hike into a quiet piece of country where wildlife is more often heard than seen. There’s no pressure to cover miles or rush to the next stop, just time to explore, ask questions, and follow curiosity wherever it leads.
Led by experienced guides and wildlife biologists, these trips are equal parts relaxed and intentional. You’ll leave with a better understanding of the landscape, a handful of small discoveries, and the feeling that the day unfolded exactly the way it should have.
Relaxed, curiosity-driven pace
Designed around your experience level and goals
Ideal for curious explorers, and those looking for something more personal than a standard tour
Fully customizable day trips
Birding, hiking, rockhounding, wildlife viewing, and more
Flexible locations based on your interests and conditions
